Spyder X20 1608 System A
The main X20 case has an onboard Dell PC with the latest version of Vista Advanced 2009, used to configure and design screen looks on the Spyder system. A rack-mounted KVM switch – with pull-out LCD, keyboard & mouse – is pre-wired into the Spyder's SBC (Single Board Computer) so that a technician in the field can view the current state of the Spyder system by reading the status of the Spyder Server Application, an intuitive way to troubleshoot any potential bugs.
VER’s Spyder systems are designed to complement small, medium or large shows. The X20's 16 inputs and 8 outputs are broken out as follows: 8 inputs of either component, composite, 3G/HD-SDSDI, or S-Video; 8 inputs of DVI-I, which can be used as either digital or analog “high resolution” up to 2560x1600; 8 outputs of DVI-I or 3G/HD-SDSDI, one of which is designated for the LOCAL OPERATOR MONITOR.
More inputs can be achieved by using third-party routers, such as DVI, HDSDI or RGBHV types.
If the requirements of your client’s event exceed what a single Spyder X20 1608 can offer, it can expand into a “parallel frame grouping” by using two of them; both systems would communicate with one or more third party routers to split the video/computer sources to both X20 units. This expansion would allow the client 32 inputs and 16 outputs. This feature requires an expert level user and should not be attempted by a beginner level operator.
