The converter preserves the time code in the conversion process (VITC and LTC). DV-Bridge Pro also provides VTR control, receiving commands over the IEEE-1394 DV interface from DV editing software, such as Apple’s Final Cut Pro and Avid’s DV Xpress, and sending these commands to the VTR via RS422.
